MY HUSBAND BURNS MY ONLY GOOD CLOTHES SO I CAN’T GO TO HIS PROMOTION PARTY

“Ladies and Gentlemen,” Mr. Lorenzo announced, his voice echoing throughout the hall. “After a long period of maintaining privacy, it is a great honor to introduce to you the sole owner and Supreme Chairwoman of Consunji Global… Madame Elena Consunji!”

The Coming of Light and Truth

Two massive mahogany doors swung open. Twelve sturdy, armed bodyguards entered in a V formation.

And from among them, I walked.

I was wearing a shimmering and gorgeous gold gown embroidered with real diamonds. Around my neck hung the famous “Tears of the Sun” diamond necklace. My hair was perfectly styled, and my posture exuded power and authority.

Billionaires, politicians, and famous personalities applauded and cheered as I walked the red carpet.

But when my eyes caught Troy, I saw him drop his champagne glass. CRASH! Troy’s eyes widened. All the blood drained from his face. His whole body began to tremble as he stared at me. Vanessa, who was next to him, was also stunned and speechless.

“E-Elena…?” Troy stammered, trembling and whispering, as if he had lost the air in his lungs. “Impossible… that’s my w-wife…”

I walked slowly towards him. The guests moved aside to make way for me. I stopped right in front of Troy. I looked him up and down, just as he had looked at me earlier in the backyard.

“Good evening, Troy,” I greeted coldly and authoritatively, smiling a hair-raising smile. “I’m here. Sorry if I’m a little late. My wife burned the first thing I was going to wear.”

Some close executives heard what I said and were surprised.

“B-Babe… w-what does this mean…?” Troy asked in tears, turning pale from extreme fear and his knees completely weak. “I-You’re the Chairwoman…?! I-You’re the owner of the company?!”

“The company you’re so proud of? Yes, that’s mine,” I replied. I turned my gaze to Vanessa, who was already shaking with fear. “And you, Vanessa. Didn’t you tell my husband that you two would be a good match tonight because you’re both from high society and I’m trash? Too bad, you’ll both lose your jobs tomorrow.”

« M-Madame Chairwoman… I didn’t know he was your husband! He was just flirting with me! » Vanessa quickly betrayed, backing away and crying in fear, trying to distance herself from Troy.

The Final Judgment

Troy knelt in front of me. In front of hundreds of guests and media cameras, the man who had just called me a disgrace cried.

« Elena! Forgive me! I didn’t mean to! I was just drunk earlier when I burned your clothes! I love you so much, Elena! We are family! » Troy sobbed, trying to reach the hem of my gown.

My two bodyguards quickly stopped him.

“Don’t touch my clothes, Troy. It might get dirty, like you said earlier,” I replied sharply. I turned to Mr. Lorenzo. “Mr. Lorenzo, draft this man’s termination papers. Revoke his promotion, take back the car the company gave him, and make sure he is blacklisted from all corporations in Asia. As for his personal assets… I want a full forensic audit. I will take everything he invested because he used my money for his education and living.”

“Yes, Madam Chairwoman,” replied Mr. Lorenzo.

« E-Elena! It’s like you’re having mercy! I’m not going anywhere! I’m going to die! » Troy screamed as the guards forced him to stand up.

I looked at him without a drop of emotion. “You told me earlier, I don’t belong in your world anymore. You’re right, Troy. Because your world is small, full of arrogance, and fake power. My world is the one you work in.”

I turned my back on him.

“Get that trash out. He’s ruining the smell at my party,” was my final order to the guards before I went up on stage to begin the formal ceremony.

Troy’s sobs and pleas echoed as he was dragged out of the grand ballroom. The night he thought would be the pinnacle of his success turned into the very pit of his fate. And me? I started drinking champagne, celebrating being free from a worthless man.
